1. Find the font’s “PostScript Name”
\u5148\u5230\u96fb\u8166\u7684\u7cfb\u7d71\u5b57\u578b\u8a2d\u5b9a\u627e\u5230\u6b63\u5f0f\u7684\u300c\u5b57\u578b\u540d\u7a31\u300d\u3002<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The “PostScript Name” is the unique name for a font in your PC. You can find this name in the “Control Panel -> Fonts” in your Windows PC, or the “Font Book” in you Mac. E.g.: If you want to use the famous free font “Genkaimincho”(\u6e90\u754c\u660e\u671d), you can donwload it from it’s official website \u30d5\u30ed\u30c3\u30d7\u30c7\u30b6\u30a4\u30f3<\/a> or \u8c93\u5543\u7db2<\/a>. The following screenshots show how to find its PostScript Name.
\u8209\u4f8b\u4f86\u8aaa\uff1a\u82e5\u60f3\u4f7f\u7528\u300c\u6e90\u754c\u660e\u671d\u9ad4\u300d\u9019\u500b\u514d\u8cbb\u5b57\u578b\uff0c\u5b83\u7684\u82f1\u6587\u7248\u96fb\u8166\u6b63\u5f0f\u5b57\u578b\u540d\u7a31\u662f \u300cGenkaimincho\u300d\u3002\u60a8\u53ef\u4ee5\u5148\u4e0b\u8f09\u5b57\u578b\u6a94\u6848\u5b89\u88dd (\u4e0b\u8f09\u9023\u7d50: \u65e5\u672c\u30d5\u30ed\u30c3\u30d7\u30c7\u30b6\u30a4\u30f3\u5b98\u7db2<\/a>, \u8c93\u5543\u7db2<\/a>)\u3002 \u88dd\u597d\u5f8c\u60a8\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728 Windows\u7684\u300c\u5b57\u578b\u300d\u8a2d\u5b9a\uff0c\u6216\u662f Mac\u7684\u300c\u5b57\u9ad4\u7c3f\u300d\u627e\u5230\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can select the font weight in the submenu “\u7c97\u7d30”.
\u60a8\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u300c\u7c97\u7d30\u300d\u7684\u4e0b\u62c9\u9078\u55ae\u4e2d\u9078\u64c7\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u5b57\u9ad4\u7c97\u7d30\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. <\/strong>Click “CLOSE” to go back to the editor screen. Your font will be available at the submenu “\u81ea\u8a02\u5b57\u578b<\/strong>“.

7. <\/strong> Modify the Pinyin tone marks
\u6539\u9020\u62fc\u97f3\u8072\u8abf<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pinyin tone marks are using characters from the Unicode block “Combining Diacritical Marks”, e.g.: “\u01ce\u011b\u01d0\u01d2\u01d4\u01da”. However not the characters in this block are not always implemented in most of the fonts. E.g.: the font “Genkaimincho” is a Japanese font that does not include tone mark characters. All the tone marks will becomes blank after the font “Genkaimincho” is applied:

Solution 1 : Apply different font to the Pinyin. E.g.: “Genkaimincho” is modified from the opensource Google Font “Noto Serif CJK”, we can apply the Pinyin with bold “Noto Serif CJK 900” to match with the “Genkaimincho” Chinese characters.

Solution 2 : Remove tone mark. Before adding the font in ToneOZ, select the option “\u7121\u3000\u62fc\u97f3\u8072\u8abf<\/strong>“. This will replace all the tone marks characters with the basic “aeiou” without tone mark. You can use it with People’s name or in an art design, however it is not recommended in education.
